Making a Delicious Difference Week

Our employee global community service event

There is a strong spirit of giving back to the community among our employees. It’s part of our heritage, and it’s vital to our future.

It’s this spirit that inspired about 12,000 Kraft Foods employees from 33 countries to dedicate a week – October 5 – 10, 2009 – to making a difference in the communities where we live and work. It was our first-ever Make A Delicious Difference Week.

Throughout the week, we volunteered for projects focused on fighting hunger, promoting healthy lifestyles and building stronger communities. Because we believe that we can make a delicious difference, everywhere. And through our efforts, we touched the lives of about 600,000 individuals in need.

Our Chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld, who spent time during the week packing and sorting food at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, said, “There’s no doubt that more needs to be done to lessen the impact of the global financial crisis on families around the world.  But I’m humbled and inspired by the flood of support from our employees around the globe.  They pour their hearts into everything they do -- whether it’s making delicious foods or a delicious difference in their communities.”
