Marc Firestone is Executive Vice President, Corporate and Legal Affairs & General Counsel for Kraft Foods Inc. In that role, Mr. Firestone is responsible for the company's corporate affairs, government affairs, legal, corporate secretary and compliance functions worldwide. Previously, Mr. Firestone served as Kraft's Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Before joining Kraft Foods in 2003, he held a number of positions at Altria Group Inc. (formerly Philip Morris Companies Inc.), which he joined in 1988. In 1993, he was named Regional Counsel for Philip Morris Europe, covering Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, based in Switzerland. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Firestone was Senior Vice President, Worldwide Regulatory Affairs and Associate General Counsel for Philip Morris Companies in New York. Mr. Firestone returned to Switzerland in 1998 as Chief Counsel for Philip Morris Europe. In 2001, he was named Senior Vice President & General Counsel for Philip Morris International Inc.

Before going in-house, Mr. Firestone was an attorney at Arnold & Porter in Washington, DC. Mr. Firestone received a BA, magna cum laude, in Romance Languages and Philosophy from Washington & Lee University and a JD, magna cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law.

He is a co-founder and the chairman of the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession; Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School; a frequent speaker on international antitrust, diversity and in-house practice; a recipient of the Director's Roundtable Distinguished General Counsel award; and a director of Unilife Medical Solutions.
