Promoting Sustainability
Kraft Foods is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our activities, reducing pollution and promoting the sustainability of our natural resources, while providing quality products that meet the needs of our consumers. This year, we are pleased again to offer our shareholders electronic delivery of proxy materials, including the Annual Report on Form 10-K, proxy statement, letter to shareholders and related materials.
Kraft Foods Inc. 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders Voting Results
Electronic delivery provides a variety of benefits to the company, our shareholders and most importantly the environment by:
- Providing shareholders with internet access to proxy information, while preserving the ability to receive paper materials;
- Eliminating sizeable paper documents from personal files;
- Saving the company printing and mailing costs; and
- Avoiding the use of approximately 200,000 pounds of paper (comparable to about 2,000 trees) by not printing materials. As a result, this avoids the creation of approximately 260 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions and the use of 1.7 million gallons of water.*
By choosing electronic delivery, you can help us conserve natural resources, reduce printing and mailing costs, and join us in our sustainability journey.
