New Kraft Singles Select Brings Rich Deli Taste to the Dairy Case
Glenview, Ill. (September 13, 2007) – A new taste in American cheese hits the dairy case this fall when Kraft Foods introduces Kraft Singles Select, a firmer, richer, individually wrapped American cheese slice with rich deli taste. New Kraft Singles Select will transform everyday sandwiches into fresh-from-the-deli experiences.
"Consumers are telling us they want more premium versions of the products they know and love, like Kraft Singles," said Jane Hilk, vice president of marketing for Cheese & Dairy at Kraft Foods. "With new Kraft Singles Select, we invite people to experience the rich deli taste of this delicious new cheese slice."
A Taste That's All Grown Up
American cheese is the No. 1 sliced cheese in the United States.1 In fact, more than 410 million pounds of American cheese were sold in the United States last year—more than twice as much as all other sliced cheeses combined.2
For consumers seeking premium flavor, Kraft Singles Select provides a full-bodied update on a traditional favorite. Kraft Singles Select also boasts a heartier texture that holds up whether served hot or cold – its flavor complements a cold deli sandwich while still melting perfectly on a grilled cheese or burger.
Select Deli Taste Every Single Time
Kraft Singles Select is available in convenient individually wrapped slices for a rich deli taste right out of the refrigerator. It can be enjoyed on a sandwich or packed as a convenient snack.
Available in the refrigerated dairy section of leading grocery stores nationwide starting in September/October 2007, Kraft Singles Select comes in 12 oz. - and 16 oz. - packages (16 and 24 individually wrapped slices, respectively). Suggested retail price is $3.59 for 12 oz. package.
