Crystal Light and Susan G. Komen For The Cure® Team Up to Promote Breast Cancer Awareness

LPGA Golf Pro, Paula Creamer Partners with Brand as Celebrity Sponsor on uPumpItUp.com/pink to Launch Breast Cancer Awareness During Month of October

TARRYTOWN, N.Y., September 30, 2008-- Crystal Light, the beverage brand that has changed the way women enjoy water, is proud to announce its partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to promote breast cancer awareness in several ways.

  • Through uPumpItUp.com, the Crystal Light brand’s online social network for women, LPGA Golf Pro Paula Creamer will encourage women to embark on a series of inspiring and engaging challenges to raise breast cancer awareness in their community. Paula’s challenge to uPumpItUp members will include spreading breast cancer awareness by wearing something pink every day for a week in October; exercising regularly to reduce risk; and teaming up with friends to learn the basics on breast cancer.
  • Consumers have the opportunity to help fund breast cancer research by purchasing specially-marked pink packages of Crystal Light in the top ten flavors, including Lemonade, Peach Tea and Wild Strawberry. Crystal Light will donate .50 cents to Susan G. Komen® for the Cure for each UPC entered on uPumpItUp.com up to a total donation of $300,000.
  • Beginning September 30, TV personality and fashion expert Bobbie Thomas will take part in a national press tour to highlight the brand’s commitment to women. Ms. Thomas, a founding member of uPumpItUp’s Wellness Panel, will discuss the Crystal Light brand’s involvement in the fight against breast cancer and encourage women to visit uPumpItUp and join LPGA Golf Pro Paula Creamer’s challenges.
