We Made the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the Seventh Time

Dow Jones

September 12, 2011 - Consistency is an admirable trait. Especially when you're consistently recognized for doing good work.  And for seven years in a row, we've been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index on the North America Index – and six years on the World Index.

It's also the first year legacy Kraft Foods and Cadbury have been recognized as a combined company.
Many people view the index as the gold-standard for companies' superior business, environmental and social performance.

Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes are the first global stock indexes tracking financial performance of leading sustainability-driven companies.  The World Index recognizes the top 10 percent of the biggest 2,500 companies worldwide based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.  And the North America Index captures the leading 20 percent of the largest 600 North American companies of the Dow Jones Global Index for sustainability.
