Since 1846, we have been whipping up flavorful products that have become household favorites across France.

As a leading food company in the country, we’re proud to market beloved and top brands like LU biscuits, Milka chocolate and Carte Noire coffee. 

Every day, our 3,800 employees are dedicated to producing so many tasty products consumers count on.  In fact, 95 percent of households in France rely on our 50 brands for delicious moments throughout the day.

Our two main offices are centrally located near Paris in Vélizy and Rungis.  And, we run 11 manufacturing facilities across the country. We make our many biscuit products at nine facilities located in Besançon, Cestas, Charleville-Mézières, Château-Thierry, Granville, Jussy, La Haye-Fouassière, Toulouse, Vervins ; we produce our coffee at our Lavérune plant; and create our chocolate products at our Strasbourg facility. And we run our mail-order business in Seclin. 

We’re excited to be opening a new Kraft Foods Biscuits Research and Development in Saclay in 2011. Approximately 100 employees will be working there to enhance the nutrition and taste of many of our recipes, developing new packaging and creating brand-new products to meet the more modern and changing tastes of consumers in France and all around Europe.

And we’re deeply committed to promoting a sustainable future by supporting sustainable agriculture, reducing our environmental impact, and encouraging better nutritional balance.

Our pioneering efforts include reducing our environmental impact at our production sites and our agricultural sourcing.  And we’ve achieved much success with two programs in particular – our long-standing partnership with the Rainforest Alliance for cocoa and coffee and our LU'Harmony program for our wheat resources.  We also use Rainforest Alliance-certified coffee and cocoa beans to make several of our major brands, including Jacques Vabre, Carte Noire and Côte d’Or.

In addition, as it is a key topic for us, our consumers and our stakeholders, we’re dedicated to promoting good nutrition and healthy lifestyles for consumers in France. We’ve been working to reformulate our products to reduce salt, fat, sugar and trans fats.  We also support the Sport Foundation for “Bien Manger, C’est bien joué! / Eat to Compete” program to promote healthy lifestyles for teenagers.

Feeding the hungry is another top priority for us.  Our long-term partnership with the national Food Banks supports many activities, including product donations, volunteer training and funding for kitchen facilities.
