Cheese and Grocery

Inspired meals and snacks start with delicious ingredients
It can be nibbled by the slice. Or, swirled into a favorite recipe. It can be melted onto your favorite sandwich. Or, spread thick onto a crunchy cracker. Our cheese comes in so many delicious varieties that it can be enjoyed in practically any way imagined.

Our most beloved cheese brand in Europe is Philadelphia (also known as "Philly"). And consumers keep finding more ways to savor it – from velvety desserts, to creamy dips, to rich meat sauces. In fact, we help them get creative and share lots of ideas through our many online resources like our various Philadelphia websites and even Iphone application available in Italy, UK, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.

Other favorite cheese brands include our market leading Sottilette range in Italy and our El Caserio cheeses and spreads in Spain. And in the UK, moms especially appreciate our Dairylea cheese as a great snack for kids – made with the goodness of milk.  Even more, our Dairylea Dunkers, slices and spreads are free from added artificial colors, flavors and preservatives.

In addition to our cheeses, our grocery brands have helped stock European kitchens for decades.  In Spain and Portugal, consumers can’t wait to whip up our Royal puddings. And our tangy, zesty Miracle Whip dressing has become a kitchen staple across Europe.

Cooking up new creations
With our exclusive brands and unique innovation expertise, we have plenty of opportunities to imagine, experiment and create delicious new products.

One of our latest breakthroughs – Philadelphia Duo – combines two textures of cheese with a firm outer shell and a creamy heart. We launched our double-textured delight to consumers in Italy and Spain in mid-2010.

Combining two of our iconic brands – Philadelphia cheese and Milka chocolate – proved to be a sensation in Germany as consumers there enjoy our new chocolate cheese spread, Philadelphia cream cheese with Milka chocolate. And our new Sottilette Le Cremose, a smooth cheese slice with a cream cheese heart, was a big hit with Italian consumers.

We’re also continually looking for ways to make our great products even better. For instance, we fine-tuned the packaging for our Philadelphia cream cheese a couple of years ago, which is now a re-sealable tub that keeps freshness in even longer.

And, we listen to consumers when they tell us they want less of certain ingredients, like sodium and fat. We’ve been busy reformulating many of our products and, for example, cut sodium by almost 30 percent in our Dairylea cheese since 2002. In addition, we’ve introduced lower fat and light versions of our Philadelphia and Dairylea cheeses as well as several of our Kraft dressings and spreads.
