As the global leader in chocolate, we use a lot of cocoa. And we need a ready supply to make so many of our delicious chocolate brands, like Cadbury Dairy Milk, Côte d’Or, Milka, Suchard, and Marabou.

A key ingredient in our recipe for the future of cocoa is the balance for all three pillars of sustainability – economic, environment and social. For many years, we’ve been diligently working to ensure the future of the world’s cocoa supply as well as making a difference in the lives of cocoa farmers, their families and their communities. 

In 2010 we invested approximately $10 million to improve the quality of life for thousands of people in cocoa farming communities in West Africa. We’re proud to have helped provide better access to education, improve family incomes, encourage responsible labor practices, and provide aid to at-risk children, while at the same time helping to protect the environment. And our commitment  to work in communities continues as we plan to increase our investment over the years.

Ultimately, we believe our efforts will help ensure we maintain plenty of quality cocoa for generations to come.
