What is a Kraft Eden Cheese Christmas? It’s the warm and memorable gathering of family and friends in the same table, enjoying delicious food and togetherness. Last December 16, 2011, the brand announced the five winners of its Christmas promo through a very special tribute to this unique and very Filipino way of spending the holidays.

Through the “Eden Sarap ng Pasko: Muling Balikan ang Salu-Salo” promo, any Eden Original (175g or 450g) or Eden Meltsarap (180g or 450g) pack offered Filipinos a chance to bring home a loved one, whether based here or abroad by simply sharing their favourite dish made special by Eden.

For their love of delicious food and gatherings, five (5) Grand Prize winners received P100,000 each. More importantly, they won a free trip back home for their loved ones. Though life takes people across different directions, they always find their way back to the special ones in their lives.

The Manila Hotel’s Maynila ballroom served as an enchanted backdrop for the families’ celebration last December 16. There, winners Reinier Distor, Russel Ruiz, Norma Huagon, Milagros Alfafara, and Joselita Bacalso were joined by their families for an early Christmas feast made especially for them. For this reunion, some family members came from as near as Baguio in Northern Luzon to Cebu in the Visayas.

“We all love Christmas,” shares the brand’s Category Marketing Manager Mark Sarmiento. “We love opening presents. We love even more the moments we share with our family and friends. Eden knows just how Filipinos cherish Christmas. That’s why we make it even more special through the food shared during holiday gatherings, all made delicious by Eden Cheese.” 

Outside the ballroom, delicious images of 45 weekly draw winning recipes were displayed. These recipes were chosen based on their innovative use of Kraft Eden Cheese and their entrants were awarded P5,000 each.

Inside, surrounded by twinkling Christmas lights and delicious food with Eden Cheese, families were serenaded by songbird Angeline Quinto. Her voice evoked memories of gatherings shared and of those to come in the special TV commercial for the brand this Christmas.
